AZUR BAND

Azur is a party music band from Romania, founded in 1977, in Brăila. It is considered the first band to treat the manele music in a pop manner, under the influence of popular performers from the Balkan countries of the communist bloc.

The founder, composer, lyricist and manager of the AZUR group is Nelu Vlad, who also gave the band its name. Nelu Vlad and Azur performed over 3000 shows, made 42 CDs and gathered millions of fans, being considered at one point a "social phenomenon" due to the unprecedented influx of the public they brought the the venues.

Azur is still in great demand today for shows, weddings or private parties, succeeding with its diversified style to please both the young and the older generations.

Musical genres addressed: Own repertoire; Party music; Traditional music; International and Romanian Light Music; Pop; Blues.

The show will continue until dawn with the energetic animation show and resident DJs.
