The condensed history, not explicit, in conflicting moving particles. The Ball is silent. Past and present Romania meet at the intersection of gestures that have paved history. Why privilege in a performance a certain formula of discourse? Because through it, one arrives more easily to the essence of the designated space and time. The Ball is the performance of Romania moulded into the large body – the collective history – and the minor body – the individual. History happens through exemplary gestures, radical movements, the continuous oscillation between aberrations and necessities. The Ball is the synthesis of these driving forces. The Ball places Romania in bodies moving back and forth. Bodies that raft over history. From the '20s to the 2000s, Romania in constant motion, borrowed from the meat of transitions, the bone structure of emblematic decisions. What would have happened if it didn’t happen? History is a cynic. It's a devised macro-movement, divided into the micro-movements of destiny. The Ball starts when the gesture overcomes history. Long after the big words have been said.
