One of the most anticipated concerts of the year 2012, confirmed: Red Hot Chili Peppers live for the first time in Romania on August 31! Organized by Emagic, the show of the famous American band is part of the promoting tour of their latest album - I’m with you and it will happen on the National Arena.
With an unique style that combines rock music with touches of funk, hip-hop and psychedelic rock, Red Hot Chili Peppers managed over the time to sell more than 70 million albums worldwide, becoming one of the most successful names of the genre. „Red Hot Chili Peppers is one of the best rock bands and also one of Romania’s favorite bands, this being the reason why we are really glad to open with it the list of events that will take place on the National Arena. Definitely this concert will be one of the next year’s highlight, but the surprises don’t stop here. We made a tradition of bringing outstanding artists to Romania and this will continue in 2012 too.” - said Laura Coroianu, CEO Emagic.
Throughout the nearly thirty years of musical career Red Hot Chili Peppers released 40 singles, „Dani California”, „Give it Away”, „Scar Tissue or „Otherside” are just some of the hits that the Romanian public will have the opportunity to hear them live, next year, for the first time in Bucharest. The band was 15 times nominated at the Grammy Awards, winning a total of seven, including the awards for Best Hard Rock Performance (with the song „Give it Away”), Best Rock Song (with the songs „Scar Tissue” and „Dani California”) and Best Rock Album (cu Stadium Arcadium). The awards received also include five MTV Music Video Awards and another four American Music Awards.
The band’s tenth album called I’m With You was released in August in Europe and United States and reached the first position of the charts in 17 countries since its debut. With the release of the new album, the band – in the formula Anthony Kiedis, Michael "Flea" Balzary, Chad Smith and Josh Klinghoffer started a promotional tour that included so far countries from Latin America, Asia and Europe. For 2012 there were already been confirmed concerts in UK, Ireland, The Netherlands, France, Switzerland and of course Romania, for the first time in the band’s career.
The tickets for the show will be put on sale Tuesday, December 13, online on www.myticket.ro and soon they will be made available also in Diverta stores.
