Alice Cooper: therapy through golf!
Date: 01 June 2007
The man who invented shock rock tells the amazing and shocking story of how he slayed his thirsty demons—with a golf club. It started one day while Cooper was watching a Star Trek episode between concerts, bored and drunk, and a friend dragged the rocker out of his room and suggested a round of golf. Cooper has been a self-confessed golf addict ever since.
"Alice Cooper, Golf Monster" is Cooper's tell-all memoir; in it he talks candidly about his entire life and career, as well as his struggles with alcohol. His tragic, funny or totally hilarious stories are about so many of his friends: Led Zeppelin and the Doors, George Burns and Groucho Marx, or golf legends like John Daly and Tiger Woods.
In the book, Alice Cooper has great advice for all the readers, whether they are golfers, rockers or both: "Surround yourself with the most interesting and talented people you can - celebrities, pros. Whoever plays better than you. Whoever inspires you."
