Taking place in 2009 in the early days of July, the B'ESTFEST`s third edition redrew the overseas public`s attention by it being nominated for the most prestigious awards in the industry, UK Festival Awards! The awards will be presented on November 19th in London, during a ceremony that will be gathering the most renowned figures from all over the world, involved in the festivals` organisation.
After being nominated in 2008 at the Best European Festival Awards for "The Best European Festival", 2009 also found B'ESTFEST amongst the best European festivals, thus submitting it on the nominees list for the "Best Overseas Festival", at the coveted UK Festival Awards. B`ESTFEST is the only Romanian festival competing for this award, aside some of the most renowned European events of its kind, such as Rock Im Park (Germany), MELT! (Germany), Exit Festival (Serbia), Benicassim (Spain), Pinkpop (Holland) and Roskilde (Denmark).

With a line-up that included artists such as The Killers, Moby, Motorhead, Orbital, Franz Ferdinand, Santana and Manowar, this year's B'ESTFEST`s edition took place during July 1st - 5th (including Day Zero and Aftershock) and enjoyed not only the public's, but also the Romanian and the international media`s positive reviews.
Those who wish to vote for the 2009 best festivals can do it by entering the
www.festivalawards.com web page, the B`ESTFEST fans also having the possibility to submit their vote by entering the festival`s official website, www.bestfest.ro. All voters will be automatically enlisted on a contest which will offer invitations at the winner festivals` 2010 edtions. The list of the first ten festivals remained in the competition will be announced on October 14th, as the voting process will continue until November 4th. The winners for each category will be announced during an impressive ceremony that will take place on November 19th, at the O2 Dome in London.
Being considered true "Oscars" of the music festivals industry, the UK Festival Awards were created in 2004 and its first editions took place only online. Starting with 2006, the awards were presented during spectacular live events, designed to gather the most important promoters in the international live entertainment industry. Alongside "The Best Overseas Festival" category, there are also other sections included in the competition such as "The Best Major / Medium / Small Festival", "The Best Dance Event", "The Best New Festival", "The Best Headline Performance" and "Anthem of the Summer".
